What FUTURES is
A free online course for people aged 16 to 25, whether or not they finished school and whether or not they have ever written a line of code.
Across Europe there are hundreds of thousands of young people who are neither in education nor in work. Plenty of them are interested in technology and run into the same wall every time: courses that cost money, entry requirements, syllabuses written for people who already know how to program, or material that only works if you have a computer at home.
FUTURES exists to get past that wall. It is a MOOC built by six organisations in five countries, made of four modules that everyone completes. There is no fee, no entrance exam, and every lesson is designed to be followed on a phone.
The project is co-funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme and coordinated by the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha.
What we committed to
The four objectives the consortium signed up to for the two years of the project.
